What are the AWPA Standards?
The AWPA Standards are the widely recognized standards set for the wood treating industry in the US. The standards used are developed by the AWPA technical committees that work within an open, consensus-based process to ensure that technically competent and credible standards for wood treatment and preservation are established. These set of standards for treated wood products are widely recognized both in the US as well as all over the world. The AWPA Standards help ensure that treated wood products used for a variety of applications perform satisfactorily for their intended uses.
