- National Lumber Grades Authority
The National Lumber Grades Authority or NLGA is the grading authority responsible for maintaining lumber grading rules and standards, most notably for Canadian lumber. The NLGA standards are approved and accredited by the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation Board (CLSAB) and by the American Lumber Standard (ALS) Board of Review. The use of such lumber standards and rules assures end buyers that all commercial species of lumber are produced with uniform design and performance. - ii. Southern Yellow Pine Plywood

For Western softwood species like the Yellow Pine, grading standards are provided by the WWPA or the Western Wood Products Association. It is a trade association that represents softwood lumber producers in 12 Western States including Alaska. The aasociation also provides technical services offering accepted standards for engineered wood such as Yellow Pine plywood.
